Share (Deposit) Accounts
The Niagara Falls Air Force FCU offers a wide variety of savings and term deposit accounts to help you save and plan for your future. All of our deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which means your money is safe. This fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the US Government. Please note the following types.
The share savings account serves as your share of the ownership in the credit union. The dividend rate and percentage yield may change every quarter. Dividends are calculated by the average daily balance method and a minimum of $250.00 is required to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. Note: Fees may reduce earnings. Comprehensive statements are provided quarterly.
The Money Market account is another form of savings, but offers a higher rate of interest and is paid on a monthly basis. You must maintain a minimum balance of $2,500. If balance exceeds $20,000 a higher rate will apply. Note: Fees may reduce earnings.

The share draft account is offered to members who are at least 18 years old.
The Niagara Falls Air Force FCU offers a variety of certificate programs to lock in a great rate while choosing a term that best fits your investing needs. Terms range from 6 months to 36 months, with a minimum deposit as low as $1,000.
There is no limit to the number of share certificates a member may own. You can not make additional deposits into existing accounts. Note: Fees may reduce earnings. There are penalties for early withdrawal. (See Share Rates)
